Supplies & Setup
Sensory bin or container
Play sand, kinetic sand, dirt
Small toy animals
Small cups, scoops, spoons, or shovels
Rocks, sticks, small plants, and toy vehicles for added realism
Instructions
Fill the sensory bin with play sand, kinetic sand or dirt along with your toddler. This will serve as the foundation for the small animal world.
Decorate the small world with your gathered assortment of animals, rocks and other objects.
Let your toddler create different landscapes and habitats for the animals with their hands or tools.
You can even bury a few items for them to play a bit of hide and seek!

Have your little one give each animal a “bath” with water and soap afterwards for a second activity
